Bachelor's degree required in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

At least five (5) years of military, law enforcement, or executive protection experience.

At least five (5) years of relevant experience, in safety and/or security, emergency response or risk assessment required in a school environment.

At least three (3) years supervisory experience, including assigning, managing, and evaluating staff.

Demonstrated successful leadership experience, with a passion for challenging, empowering, and driving team results.

Exceptional strategic thinking, and communication skills.

Comprehensive knowledge of security operations, legal frameworks, and community engagement.

High level of integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct.

Proven ability to build and nurture relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Experience in budget management, resource allocation, and advocacy.

Hazmat training preferred.

Extensive experience with law enforcement agencies.

Ability to work with police and safety personnel as well as school staff; be team oriented while capable of working independently; and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with administrators, teachers, staff, and parents in a diverse school community.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines.

Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills.

Ability to exercise sound judgment and manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Have knowledge of school law, DESE regulations, and school policy and procedures.

Demonstrate skills in planning, research, and management.

Experience using and managing access control systems, video recording and camera systems and visitor management systems.
