Job Summary 

The Support Staff role combines the responsibilities of a Busser and Food Runner, ensuring seamless service for all guests. This position supports the service team by delivering food and beverages, maintaining a clean and organized dining area, and assisting with guest requests. Success in this role requires teamwork, organization, and a positive attitude to deliver an exceptional guest experience. 

 

Responsibilities 

Food & Beverage Delivery 

  • Promptly deliver food and beverages to tables, ensuring accurate presentation and order completeness
  • Announce dishes and beverages to guests upon delivery 
  • Follow allergy procedures and communicate any special instructions to guests 

Table Maintenance 

  • Clear and reset tables within one minute, following restaurant specifications 
  • Remove dirty dishes, glassware, silverware, and debris promptly 
  • Crumb, wipe, and maintain table cleanliness throughout service 

Guest Support 

  • Greet guests warmly and anticipate their needs 
  • Communicate guest requests or concerns to the appropriate team members 
  • Assist with wrapping leftovers and ensure proper packaging 

Operational Support 

  • Maintain service areas with adequate stock of service supplies 
  • Transport dirty dishes to dish areas and ensure proper disposal of trash and recyclables 
  • Complete assigned side work and ensure all cleaning tasks are performed according to standards 

 

Qualifications 

  • Ability to learn table and position numbers within one week of hire 
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to support the service team effectively 
  • Positive attitude and willingness to handle guest interactions professionally and courteously 
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays 

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching
  • Ability to move safely through all areas of the restaurant, including crowded or confined spaces

General Qualifications: 

  • Adhere to company policies, including uniform and appearance standards 
  • Maintain professionalism and act as a role model for FOH staff 
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and employment regulations

*This position is part of a Service Charge pay model and is compensated primarily through commission-based earnings from service charges on guest checks that are shared among certain front-of-the-house team members. This position may also receive tips from customers. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.
