POSITION PURPOSE
The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing routine building and equipment maintenance tasks in a variety of fields, including carpentry, electrical, and heating, using hand and power tools. The position is a member of the Contracts team.
WORK HOURS
Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Follow all Goodwill policies and safety procedures. Must possess professional etiquette.
- Performs electrical maintenance to include replacement or repair of wall switches & outlets, incandescent & fluorescent tubes and fuses.
- Performs plumbing maintenance, such as replacement of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, and replacing toilet tank parts.
- Makes repairs to doors and locks.
- Repairs damages to sheetrock walls and repaints as necessary.
- Replaces vinyl tile and moldings.
- Repairs, refurbishes, and assembles material handling and sales support equipment (i.e. pallet jacks, fans, display cases, racks, etc.).
- Maintains required travel logs and work order documents and other paperwork as necessary.
- Generates parts order requests.
- Complies with company safety and work standards, including those related to assigned vehicle.
- Maintains cleanliness of assigned company vehicle.
- Regular attendance and punctuality is required.
- Perform all other tasks and duties assigned.
