Note: A minimum commitment of 10 weeks is required for new volunteers, and 8 weeks for returning volunteers. This applies to all departments and locations.

Estes Park Center (EPC)
All volunteer positions for Summer and Early Fall 2025 have been filled.
Volunteer opportunities for October 2025 through May 2026 are now open.
Whether you're passionate about creativity, education, hospitality, or cultural engagement, there's a meaningful role waiting for you at Estes Park Center.
Available Volunteer Roles:
- Craft & Design Center Volunteer - EPC: Guide guests through creative activities like pottery painting, tie-dye, and jewelry making. Help with setup, cleanup, and maintaining a welcoming space. Wear clothes that can get messy.
- Cultural Events Facilitator Volunteer - EPC: Support international staff in hosting inclusive cultural events and outings such as celebrations, hikes, shopping trips, and service projects. Volunteers should be organized, outgoing, and able to drive YMCA vehicles.
- Gift Shop Volunteer - EPC: Assist with merchandise preparation, display, stocking, inventory tracking, and sales while providing excellent customer service. Volunteers should be comfortable operating an electronic cash register, maintaining clean and attractive displays, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Housekeeping Volunteer - EPC: Support the housekeeping team with tasks such as managing Lost & Found, assisting with administrative duties, and maintaining the laundromat and guest linen exchange.
- Lula W. Dorsey Museum Guide - EPC: Lead engaging tours, assist with museum programs, and help maintain the museum and surrounding grounds. Runs October 2025 through December 2025.
- Preschool Program Volunteer - EPC: Assist staff in caring for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years through indoor and outdoor play. Support curriculum, safety, and daily routines in a nurturing, values-based environment.
Snow Mountain Ranch (SMR)
Volunteer opportunities for Fall and Winter 2025 are now open.
Whether you're passionate about guest services, outdoor work, ministry support, or recreation, there's a meaningful role waiting for you in the heart of the Rockies.
Available Volunteer Roles:
- Building & Maintenance Volunteer - SMR: Perform basic repairs and maintenance in guest and staff areas. Includes outdoor tasks in varied weather.
- Chaplain’s Assistant Volunteer - SMR: Support worship services and chapel operations. Engage with guests and staff in spiritual programming.
- Food Service Volunteer - SMR: Rotate through dining duties, including cleaning, dishwashing, stocking, and guest service.
- Gift Shop Volunteer - SMR: Assist with merchandise preparation, display, stocking, inventory tracking, and sales while providing excellent customer service. Volunteers should be comfortable operating an electronic cash register, maintaining clean and attractive displays, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Housekeeping Volunteer - SMR: Assist with laundry, linen exchange, cleaning, and preparing supplies for housekeepers.
- HR Office Assistant Volunteer - SMR: Provide professional and confidential support to Human Resources operations.
- Philanthropy Support Volunteer - SMR: Assist with donor engagement and mission-related communications. Serve as a guest ambassador.
- Program Desk Attendant/Floater Volunteer - SMR: Provide guest service, register activities, and assist across various program areas and recreation sites.
- Staff Experience Team Member Driver - SMR: Transport staff to events, appointments, and local attractions. Support staff logistics.
- Volunteer History Guide - SMR: Lead history walks and support historical site operations. Share YMCA heritage with guests.
- Guest Services Liaison Volunteer - SMR: Assist with group and guest services to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience.
- Nordic Center Attendant (Winter Only) - SMR: Support ski rentals, trail passes, and guest services at our award-winning Nordic Center.
- Switchboard Operator Volunteer - SMR: Manage property communications in a fast-paced office environment. Provide excellent service.
