The Cultural Events Facilitator is responsible for creating a welcoming, inclusive, and enriching environment for all international staff participating in cultural exchange programs under the International Department. This role focuses on planning, organizing, promoting, and leading engaging activities that enhance cultural learning, community involvement, and personal development.
Activities may include cultural celebrations, community service, hiking excursions, shopping trips, arts and crafts, intramural sports, and other experiences designed specifically for international participants.
This position is based at the Estes Park Center location, and works directly with the International Department and communicates regularly with international staff through email, in person, newsletters, and GroupMe.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plan and lead cultural events for international staff.
- Execute the International Fair and Dinner, managing participants, logistics, and cross-department collaboration.
- Manage and carry out the Intern/Trainee Program (ITP) agenda with activities aligned to J-1 cultural exchange goals.
- Organize recreational and developmental outings (hikes, shopping trips, crafts, sports, wellness).
- Coordinate community involvement opportunities such as volunteering and service projects.
- Plan and drive trips for Social Security appointments and other transport needs.
- Promote events via flyers, newsletters, email, GroupMe, and in-person outreach.
- Build inclusive relationships with international staff to support community and engagement.
- Track attendance and gather feedback; record participation data in the HRIS system.
- Collaborate with the International Department and other teams on program logistics.
- Manage event details including budgeting, scheduling, supply needs, and space setup.
- Assist with onboarding and cultural orientation activities for new international arrivals.
- Serve as a cultural ambassador, supporting staff in understanding U.S. norms while celebrating their own identities.
