Description

Position Summary:

The ABA Clinic Director, in addition to their regular BCBA clinical duties, is responsible for the management of their clinic’s Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) team. ABA Clinic Director provides mentorship to both BCBAs and RBTs on their team, coordinates the team schedule, and directs team meetings to ensure the team is well supported.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Manage and develop the clinic ABA team, providing clinical and professional support
  • Maintain the schedules for the clinic RBTs and ensure there is adequate BCBA coverage in the clinic to provide support for the RBTs
  • Serve as a mentor and clinical resources to new and existing team members
  • Assist in the scheduling and onboarding of new ABA team members
  • Conduct 1:1 meetings with and annual performance reviews for BCBAs and RBTs
  • Present  at weekly meetings and cascades clinical and operational messages to the  ABA  team
  • Supervisie at least 1 student earning their BCBA fieldwork hours
  • Partner with Clinic Manager and discipline leads to foster collaboration and positive team morale  
  • Assess incoming clients for treatment using various assessment tools, and provide a clinical recommendation for weekly treatment hours based on client need
  • Develop individualized therapeutic programs to address client goals, drawing heavily from NET principles
  • Revise and update client programs on a regular basis, every 1-2 weeks
  • Support RBTs via mentorship and training for children on their caseload
  • Provide supervision for 5-10% of an RBTs supervision hours
  • Direct work with clients, always being ready to model a skill for an RBT or client
  • Complete and submit required documentation, including, but not limited to, SOAP Notes, Evaluations, Progress Reports in accordance with practice guidelines
  • Collaborate with other professionals and disciplines to achieve coordinated care goals
  • Lead weekly team meetings with the clinic’s ABA team the clinic’s BCBA team
  • Participate in interclinic Lead BCBA meetings and cross-discipline Lead meetings
  • Maintain a targeted caseload of 22 therapy hours per week

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience and Credentials:

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field
  • Current BCBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • 2+ years of experience providing ABA services
  • 1+ years of experience supervising RBTs

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to mentor and develop RBTs and future BCBAs
  • Competence with a variety of computer applications
  • Experience with a wide variety of ABA assessments
  • Experience working in a clinic setting

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

 

  • Ability to learn and implement de-escalation skills for client sessions
  • Ability to lift or carry 30 lbs
  • Ability to work in a variety of positions, including on the floor during played-based therapy

 

Travel Requirements

  • Some travel within assigned region for training, meetings and supporting client coverage needs.
