Software Test Engineer III

Konami Gaming is looking for a Software Test Engineer III to join our team!

This position is responsible for testing and evaluating gaming related software products for submission to regulatory agencies. This position also requires flexibility to always act autonomously while adhering to overall department and company policies and procedures.

What you'll be doing:

Test Development (40%): Create / modify Test Scripts which result in high quality releases and low re-release rates.

• Develops or modifies Test Scripts.
• Demonstrates extensive industry knowledge relevant to gaming compliance and software testing.
• Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted.
• Determines sequences and phases of test operations.
• Develops or uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems.

Test Performance and Records (40%): Creates and releases complete and accurate Test Documents and Release Documents resulting in reduced release error rates.

• Performs Testing of titles released by R&D for Functional and Regulatory Compliance.
• Identifies and documents test problems and monitors the status of projects.
• Maintains accurate test records, analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic engineering and management personnel.

Cross-Functional Coordination (20%): Knowledge and skills to accurately communicate and resolve any issue with R&D or appropriate personnel to achieve a high-quality release.

• Confer with engineering, and technical personnel to resolve testing problems, such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data and data interpretation.
• Coordinates with engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices required to test, telemeter, record, and reduce test data.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What we'll want you to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or related fields required.
• 6+ years or more of related experience and/or training in corporate licensing within a gaming company. 
• Knowledge of and experience in testing the G2S protocol using RGS from RadBlue.
• Ability to communicate professionally and efficiently, both verbal and written with all levels of the business.
• Intermediate and above-level understanding and usage of Microsoft Office products. 
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Gaming licensure(s).

Work Environment:

• Full-time / 40+ hours per week. Must be flexible to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Must be comfortable working in an area with limited working space for long hours with the ability to remain seated at computer terminal for extended periods of time. Extreme repetitive motion using keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Must be able to work at assigned location to enable direct communications and interactions with team members, management, and others as necessary, unless traveling for a business-related purpose.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a high-stress, fast-paced, and high-pressure environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy, paying attention to detail, and meeting assigned deadlines. Demonstrates high integrity, trust, and strict confidentiality. Ability to maintain excellent communication and a positive, respectful, and professional attitude and relationship with clients, employees, peers, co-workers, all levels of management, and all outside organizations conducting business or otherwise interacting with the company. Ability to always act autonomously while adhering to overall department and company policies and procedures.
• Position shall work primarily in a smoke free office environment. The noise level is low to moderate. Position shall maintain a cubicle or office in close proximity to other cubicles and offices.
