Job Summary: This position is responsible for communicating with customers in a positive, caring, and timely manner to enhance customer relations while maintaining accurate and efficient processing of all parts transactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Models promote, reinforce, and reward consistent use of FYDA’S Values Based Leadership tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
- Assist in supervising the activities of Parts Counter Sales Representatives, develop employees, schedules, ensure attendance at department meetings, and ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to company policy and procedures
- Completes all parts transactions for internal/external customers in an accurate, timely and supportive manner to ensure customer satisfaction
- Participates in all sales programs sponsored by FYDA that promote sales through incentives and meet or exceed specified objectives as measured by program administrators
- Product information systems kept current and new product information is updated, to be measured by management observation and attendance records at new product update meetings, C-I meetings and in shop training schedule
- Assists Parts Manager with interviews, performance reviews for parts counter representative team and documentation of corrective actions
- Mentors Part Counter Representatives in the development of leadership skills
- Sells parts to all customers, over the counter, via email, through the shop or on the phone. Specifically, the parts counterperson
- Assist all customers in both retail and shop selecting required parts. Share the cost and availability of the parts.
- Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
- Participates in the coordination of orders being pulled and filled from the warehouse to their customer.
- Provides information to Parts Manager and Buyer on out-of-stock products.
- Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source.
- Follows up on back-ordered parts.
- Solicits assigned accounts by phone or email.
- Log lost sales to track demand.
- Participates in all training programs made available to keep current on new products and product updates.
Maintains professional appearance.
