Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in science or any combination of sciences directly related to environmental health (such as sanitary science, public health, chemistry, microbiology, or any appropriate agriculture, biological or physical science.)
Must be a California Registered Environmental Health Specialist or Registered Environmental Health Specialist through the National Environmental Health Association or must be eligible to be California Registered Environmental Health Specialist or Registered Environmental Health specialist through the National Environmental Health Association must pursue registration within one year.

Experience:
Minimum of three years of specialized experience related to the duties of the position.
Minimum of one-year supervisory experience in an area related to the major duties of the position.
Â
Knowledge of:
Knowledge of principles and techniques of environmental health, organization, and management.
Â
License:
Must possess a current California Driver’s License. A current DMV printout is required.
Â
Certification:
Must have current CPR certification that complies with the guidelines set by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Certification may be obtained prior to orientation.

Ability to:
Must be able to work with the Native American Community and be sensitive to the Indian culture and its needs.
Â
Physical Demands:
Work involves routine risks and discomforts of travel and infectious diseases are a common risk.
