High School Diploma or equivalent.

One year experience preferred in food preparation assistance.

License and Certification:Â Â Â
- Must possess a Food Handler’s Card   Â
- A valid California driver's license and a safe driving record. Must be insurable by the Program’s insurance carrier.Â
- Current CPR certification that complies with the guidelines set by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Certification may be obtained prior to orientation.
Â
Knowledge of:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Motor Vehicle Code, vehicle operation; kitchen sanitation and safety measures, food handling sanitation, and the ability to maintain safety procedures.

Skill:Â
Ability to listen to instruction and demonstrate competence in the kitchen setting.

Work with other staff members in a team effort. Have empathetic understanding of and willingness to work with elderly Site participants. Take instructions, follow instructions, serve appropriate food portions, keep simple records, and read and write at a satisfactory level. Must be able to work with the Indian Community, and be sensitive to the Indian culture and its needs.
