About the Role 

We’re looking for an Associate Application Developer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for hands-on Java professionals seeking to advance their careers and become key contributors to a high-performing, fully remote Agile team. In this role, you’ll help design and build scalable Java backend services and responsive front-end interfaces, contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle. You'll be an essential part of the application development lifecycle, bringing your expertise in coding, testing, and collaboration to help deliver high-quality software solutions that directly impact our clients and their ability to provide excellent healthcare. 

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Develop and maintain high-quality code: Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Java and build responsive UIs with modern front-end frameworks. 

  • Collaborate with your team: Partner closely with the development team and product owners to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.   

  • Test and validate: Identify and resolve software defects and performance issues and participate in code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.   

  • Grow your skills: Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually enhance skills and knowledge.   

  • Adapt to evolving needs: Remain flexible and adaptable in response to changing project requirements, new technologies, and evolving business needs. 

Qualifications

What You’ll Need 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or 3+ years of practical experience.   

  • 1+ years of hands-on Java development experience. 

  • Experience building responsive front-end UIs using modern front-end frameworks. 

  • A deep understanding of relational databases and SQL. 

  • Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON/XML data exchange. 

  • Proficiency with Git and CI/CD tools. 

  • Ability to make efficient use of AI tools in a secure manner. 

  • Excellent communication skills. 

  • Ability to work effectively in an Agile team. 

 

Nice to Have 

  • Deep understanding of Java technologies such as Glassfish, Tomcat, or Spring Boot 

  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) 

  • Exposure to monolithic and microservice architectures 

  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular 

  • Basic knowledge of shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell, etc.) 

  • Proficiency in connecting front and back-end systems 

  • Experience with Agile development process
