About the Role

We’re looking for an Associate Clearinghouse Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing business processes related to healthcare EDI transactions. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accurate and efficient processing of transactions, including eligibility verification (270/271), claim status (276/277), and other healthcare-related transactions. Acting as a bridge between technical teams, business users, and external partners, you’ll ensure workflows align with regulatory standards and organizational goals.


What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the setup, testing, and ongoing operations of real-time EDI transactions

  • Troubleshoot issues with rejected or failed transactions

  • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements for EDI solutions, ensuring alignment with industry standards and business objectives

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to map business needs to EDI transaction workflows

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements for healthcare data and EDI transactions

  • Stay up to date with ANSI X12 standards and other industry guidelines

  • Assist with test case design and execution for implementations, upgrades, or changes

  • Troubleshoot EDI-related issues and partner with technical teams to resolve them

  • Communicate business requirements to technical teams and translate technical specifications for business users

  • Partner with vendors and external stakeholders to ensure proper integration of EDI transactions

  • Document processes, workflows, and system requirements for EDI transactions

  • Prepare and deliver reports on transaction volumes, issues, and resolutions

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare EDI operations, business analysis, or related role

  • Experience with healthcare EDI transactions and processes

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Proven success collaborating across cross-functional teams

  • Strong track record of identifying challenges, interpreting data, and making informed decisions in fast-paced environment 

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with an EDI clearinghouse or a claim adjudication system

  • Background in health technology or healthcare SaaS environments

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or Healthcare Informatics with up to 2 years of relevant experience


Additional Requirements

  • Travel: Up to 10%

  • Language Skills: Ability to clearly communicate complex technical and business concepts

  • Mathematical Skills: Proficient in percentages, variances, and basic statistical indicators

  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace; familiarity with project or data analytics platforms preferred

  • Reasoning Ability: Able to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in a fast-paced setting

  • Work Environment: Predominantly office-based with extended computer use; noise level is generally moderate
