Associate Business Operations Analyst 

Position Overview 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Associate Business Operations Analyst to join our Clearinghouse Operations team. This remote position will report directly to the Vice President of Clearinghouse Operations and serve as a key operational resource responsible for payer list maintenance, new payer implementations, routing changes, and customer communications related to clearinghouse operations. 

Key Responsibilities 

Payer Maintenance & Implementation: 

  • Manage and maintain the comprehensive Office Ally Payer List, ensuring accuracy and completeness of payer information 

  • Implement route changes related to all EDI transactions, including eligibility & verification, claims, claim status, and ERA 

  • Implement new direct payers and trading partners per their custom specifications 

  • Compile and maintain detailed payer setup information, documentation, and specifications 

Customer & Stakeholder Communication: 

  • Prepare clear and professional customer communications regarding payer updates, routing changes, and transaction processing issues 

  • Serve as a communication liaison between internal teams and customers on payer-related matters 

  • Document and distribute notifications about payer connectivity changes, downtimes, or processing updates 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with the Payer and Trading Partner Management team to ensure seamless payer integrations and implementations 

  • Partner with the Customer Support Team to address payer-related inquiries and resolve issues 

  • Coordinate with technical teams on routing configurations and system updates 

Qualifications

Qualifications 

Required: 

  • Associates degree or above in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field 

  • 1-3 years of experience in the healthcare technology industry 

  • Excellent written communication skills for preparing customer-facing documentation 

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong team collaboration 

  • Strong organizational and project management skills 

Technical Skills: 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking and analysis 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word for documentation and customer communications 

  • Experience with Microsoft Teams for collaboration and remote communication 

  • Working knowledge of JIRA for project tracking and task management 

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms 

Preferred: 

  • Experience with healthcare clearinghouse operations or EDI transactions 

  • Knowledge of healthcare claims processing and payer connectivity 

  • Understanding of electronic data interchange (EDI) standards and HIPAA transaction sets 

  • Familiarity with payer enrollment processes and trading partner agreements 

  • Technical aptitude and eagerness for continued learning
