The Director of Financial Aid is responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, and oversight of the Financial Aid Department to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and institutional regulations governing student financial assistance programs. This position oversees all aspects of awarding, disbursing, reconciliation, and reporting of financial aid funds, while supporting the mission of Success Education Colleges by promoting student access and success. The Director of Financial Aid reports to the Campus Director with accountability to the Corporate/Regional Director of Financial Aid.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
· Provide leadership, training, and supervision to Financial Aid staff, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent customer service.
· Oversee the administration of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs, including awarding, disbursing, returning of funds, and reconciliation.
· Ensure the financial aid process is conducted in compliance with Title IV regulations and institutional policies.
· Develop, implement, and maintain departmental policies and procedures to support compliance and efficiency.
· Monitor and analyze financial aid trends, regulatory updates, and institutional performance metrics; recommend improvements as needed.
· Conduct internal reviews of financial aid files, processes, and disbursements to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations.
· Provide ongoing training and professional development for Financial Aid Advisors and staff.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for financial aid-related audits, program reviews, and regulatory inquiries.
· Collaborate with Admissions, Student Services, and other departments to support enrollment and student retention goals.
· Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding financial aid eligibility, rights, responsibilities, and available resources.
· Represent the institution at financial aid workshops, conferences, and professional meetings.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
