VFI seeks an experienced, professional Desktop Support Technician Level II for a complex, multi-year contract to support the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) Information Technology (IT) Services.

 

Note: All candidates must possess an active DoD Secret clearance

 

Location: March ARB/ March, CA

Schedule: Monday - Friday, weekends as needed

Travel: Minimal, less than 10%

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to end-users for PC, server, mainframe applications, and hardware.
  • Performs configurations, installations, diagnostics, upgrades, repairs and preventive maintenance of personal computer products and peripherals.
  • May interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem.
  • Simulates or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
  • Recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems.
  • Maintains currency and highest level of technical skill in field of expertise.

Qualifications

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • At least 3+ years of experience as a Desktop Support Technician.
  • Possess or obtain IAT Level II certification.
  • Capabilities needed to deliver in-person and remote IT aid.
  • Fantastic installation, diagnostic, upgrade, and restoration abilities.
  • Excellent vertical and lateral thinking.
  • Superb time management skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
