Mevion Medical Systems, a leader in compact proton therapy solutions, is seeking a visionary Director of Marketing to shape and drive global marketing initiatives. This individual will be instrumental in elevating Mevion’s brand visibility, advancing customer engagement, and positioning the company as a market leader in the radiation oncology and proton therapy space. We’re looking for a strategic marketing leader with over 10 years of experience in the medical device industry—ideally in radiation therapy—who thrives in fast-paced, high-impact environments. Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and lead a global marketing strategy aligned with corporate goals and commercial objectives.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing marketing team.
- Define and manage the marketing budget to maximize ROI.
- Use data-driven insights and market research to shape strategic plans.
- Establish Mevion’s voice as a thought leader in the proton therapy market.
Customer Advocacy & Engagement
- Partner with Customer Success to cultivate strong customer relationships across all clinical and administrative levels.
- Launch and scale customer advocacy programs, including case studies, testimonials, and user stories.
- Create engaging content that amplifies the impact of Mevion’s solutions in real-world settings.
Sales & Field Enablement
- Collaborate with Sales to create targeted campaigns, impactful sales tools, and enablement materials.
- Align marketing activities with revenue goals and sales objectives to accelerate the pipeline.
Brand & Market Presence
- Strengthen global brand presence through digital campaigns, public relations, industry events, and multimedia content.
- Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels and audience touchpoints.
- Lead media relations, external communications, and marketing analytics reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of marketing leadership experience in the medical device industry.
- Deep knowledge of radiation oncology, proton therapy, or complex therapeutic capital equipment is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success in advocacy marketing and customer evangelism programs.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare purchasing landscape and provider ecosystem.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing external agency relationships.
- Proven ability to execute in high-growth, innovative, and collaborative environments.
- Willingness to travel periodically for meetings, events, and customer engagements.
