Assistant Warehouse Manager is primarily responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager to our Operations team. Including inventory management, warehouse management, facility supervision, hand loading necessary products onto vehicles, operating a forklift, traveling between facilities, and keeping up with the day-to-day operations with a goal toward operation excellence.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Product Management
- Responsible for balancing the inventory by controlling product flow in and out of the warehouse and verifying inventory on hand.
- Maintains records of deliveries and communicates information to Operations Manager and Administrative Team.
- Verifies contents of all sales vehicles upon return from the trade.
- Supervises team of warehouse loaders to insure accurate loading of sales vehicles.
- Receives all trailers of product and merchandise into warehouse. Confirm proper delivery amounts received and places product on floor.
- Enter product delivery into inventory control system.
- Ensures damaged cases are recorded and processed.
- Exercises First in First Out (FIFO) practices so as to prevent perishables from going out of date.
- Loads required product onto vehicles for return into trade.
- Arrange Product on floor to prepare for loading of trucks.
- Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and yard.
- Maintain appropriate level of stock in damaged area.
- Collect and remove cardboard and garbage.
- All other duties as assigned.
Facilities Management
- Inspect cleanliness and overall condition of the warehouse and yard.
- Accountable for building safety and security.
- Ensures building is completely locked when closing at night.
Fleet Maintenance
• Coordinate with Fleet Manager to move vehicles in and out of service to allow for vehicle maintenance.
• Report any fleet condition issues to Fleet Supervisor for repair or investigation
