Finisher

Summary

The finisher is responsible for using solvents and tools to customize store fixtures.  The finisher will apply stains, topcoats, and wood sealants to custom-designed store fixtures.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Follows blueprints, work orders and verbal instructions to determine product specifications and material requirements
• Prepares a variety of substrates (wood, metal, plastic, vinyl, paper, etc.) for finsh using hand and power tools and chemicals for cleaning and paint adhesion
• Mix finish to obtain desired color, shard and sheen of specific finish
• Spray stain/color to parts and fixtures
• Stack and unstack parts from tables and pallets ensuring damage prevention
• Fosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration, and empowerment
• Follows all safety and workplace policies

• Ability to use and maintain spray equipment, sanding and grinding tools
• Ability to work independently and as a team

• Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as required

Education/Certification

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prefer 2 year technical/business degree or equivalent experience

Experience

• Willingness to train

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required throughout the workday
• Requires a full range of body movements including but not limited to the use of hands, feet, arms, legs, back and torso
• Excellent eyesight with or without correction is necessary
• Ability to use a respirator and pass a respirator fit test
