Position Summary:
The Landscaper Manager will oversee and coordinate landscaping projects, maintenance activities, and team operations to ensure high quality landscaping services. This role includes managing resources, personnel and the outdoor common across all Weidner properties within a designated region. A successful Landscape Manager is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work. In addition, this position needs to be accountable and attentive to provide excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents, associates and vendors.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of landscaping projects, including planning, implementation and quality control
- Mow, edge, fertilize and re-seed lawns; water plants manually as directed
- Oversee routine landscape maintenance including pruning shrubbery and trees for a pristine appearance and healthy growth; use a weed eater as needed
- Maintain flowerbeds, including the installation, removal, and pruning of plantings
- Manage and maintain irrigation systems, including watering schedule; make necessary repairs of line and sprinkler heads; repair concrete curb stops
- Rake and remove leaves; blow debris from sidewalk and parking areas
- Plan and assist with laying mulch, compost, and/or fertilizers to nourish plants and maintain soil health
- Assist Regional Maintenance Director / Regional Director in preparation of annual landscape budget, including recommendation of required equipment purchase; meet monthly and annual landscape maintenance budgets
- Recruit, train and supervise landscaping team
- Delegate tasks effectively and monitor team performance
- Maintain accurate records
- Plow and remove snow as required
- Monitor supplies and maintain all equipment; order supplies as needed with Director’s approval
- Ensure maintenance shop/custodial area is clean, organized, and professionally presentable at all times
- Follow all company key logging and storing procedures
- Regular and effective communication with Regional Maintenance Director, Regional Director and other teammates
- Promote safety and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to minimize exposure to hazards that cause workplace injury and illness
- Inspect, respond to, and follow up with safety issues, accidents, liabilities and emergency situations immediately
