Assistant Professor, Computer Science 

Midway University invites applicants for a full-time faculty position in the Computer Science program in the School of Business, Equine and Sport Management. Rank is open. This position is a 9-month, non-tenured position. Summer teaching opportunities may be available.  At this time, Midway University is unable to provide new employment visa sponsorship. Consideration will be given to candidates who are already legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States.  

This position will play an important role in advancing the University’s commitment to preparing students for careers in the discipline. The position requires the ability to teach in-seat and online courses at both the Undergraduate and Graduate level. The successful candidate will communicate effectively and work cooperatively with colleagues. All Midway faculty, unless otherwise specified, are expected to advise students, serve on university committees, be engaged in campus life, and maintain currency in their field. While research is not required, research with students is encouraged.  

Must hold a doctorate in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field from a regionally accredited institution is required. However, ABD candidates will be considered.  Salary is commensurate with experience.  Rank is open.  The start date is negotiable, but our goal is January 1, 2026.
