Scarbrough’s corporate warehouse is located in Liberty, Missouri and offers 416,000 square feet of fully racked Class A space with 40 dock doors. Scarbrough strives to provide a full-service warehouse experience, including container devanning, storage, inspection, kitting, reverse logistics, custom labeling, custom packing, compliance management, omni-channel retail fulfillment, crossdocking, and distribution services.

Position Overview:

A Picking and Shipping Supervisor ensures the accuracy and integrity of all products we ship to our customers. Picking and Shipping Supervisor responsibilities include overseeing and driving the day-to-day operations of the picking and shipping department. They are responsible for assisting with all outbound orders in the warehouse management system. They are also accountable for ensuring that the team gets each package shipped correctly and timely to avoid missed deliveries or lost goods. Picking and Shipping Supervisors must have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively to complete all orders on time and in full according to customer service level agreements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a complete understanding of customer requirements and communicate standards to picking and shipping team; manage customer requests in a timely manner
  • Manage Picking, Labeling, and Shipment prep teams, manage live loads, small parcel, and some special projects
  • Ensure work is assigned effectively and completed in a timely fashion; conduct shift meetings and communicate clearly with picking and shipping team
  • Maintain a proficient knowledge of the warehouse management system
  • Promote safe working habits and ensure strict compliance with the safety and security policies and procedures governing business operations
  • Report any damaged product to the proper parties
  • Communicate effectively with your team and direct supervisor
  • Work in tandem with Receiving and Account Services departments to support overall organizational goals
  • Perform related responsibilities assigned by management, which may be added or revised based on business and operational needs, with or without advance notice

Requirements

  • Ability to lift items and containers up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with material handling equipment (cherry picker, reach truck)
  • 3+ years' Supervisory experience in operations for fulfillment, supply chain, logistics, or transportation companies
