Wilson College is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Online Student Success Navigator to serve as the primary point of connection for our online undergraduate students. This position provides academic advising, support, and engagement from onboarding through graduation.

The Navigator plays a key role in student success by ensuring that students are effectively onboarded, receive ongoing academic support, and are connected to institutional resources that enhance their online learning experience. By proactively monitoring student progress, offering timely interventions, and fostering a sense of community, the Navigator directly contributes to student retention and achievement.

This position works closely with academic and administrative teams to strategically advance Wilson College Online initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Conduct preliminary transfer evaluations and assist with the final evaluation of transfer credits.
  • Develop and maintain individualized degree completion plans for online students.
  • Manage onboarding processes for Wilson College Online students, including required assessments, identity verification, registration, and orientation.
  • Provide academic advising and registration support via virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom), ensuring students receive accurate and timely guidance on course planning and degree requirements.
  • Conduct check-ins with students outside of transactional advising to support holistic academic progress.
  • Assist with degree audits to ensure students remain on track for graduation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for online students, providing support and connecting them to resources such as the Library, Academic Support Center, Career Development, and Accessibility Services.
  • Communicate with all online students during term breaks to assist with transitions and support continuous enrollment.
  • Collaborate with the Dean of Student Success, Academic Coordinator for Wilson College Online, and Institutional Effectiveness and Research Office to generate and interpret retention and success data.
  • Analyze attendance and academic success reports and assist students with scheduling or curricular adjustments as needed.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining Wilson College Online Orientation materials.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

  • Full-time, regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
  • Some work during evenings and weekends may be required.

TRAVEL:

  • Travel is not a regular requirement of this position and is expected to be minimal, if any.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Two or more years of experience in higher education, preferably in academic advising, student support, or academic affairs

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of early alert systems and academic recovery planning is desirable.
