Due to the nature of the work performed, only U.S. citizens will be considered for this position. This role is not eligible for remote work and will be based onsite in Danville, Virginia.

About the Role
The Educational Compliance Coordinator supports students at risk of dismissal due to academic, attendance, or conduct issues. Working alongside the Student Success & Compliance Advisor, this role helps guide students through remediation processes and ensures adherence to ATDM policies. Key responsibilities include managing student alerts, tracking reports, and maintaining documentation related to attendance, conduct, and academic performance. The Coordinator also assists with policy updates and implementation to support program compliance. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional who thrives both independently and in team settings. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
•    Assist in managing student conduct, attendance, and academic alerts.
•    Track and follow up on student conduct, attendance, and academic reports.
•    Maintain records of student interventions and outcomes.
•    Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
•    Coordinate communications regarding attendance warnings, conduct notices, and academic alerts (emails and written documents).
•    Support adherence to the student code of conduct, attendance, and academic policies.
•    Monitor and assist in reporting Title IX concerns. 
•    Assist in refining procedures based on student needs and compliance standards.
•    Draft and distribute student-facing documentation and policy updates.
•    Maintain compliance documentation logs for audit reporting. 
•    Prepare schedules for grade audits.
•    Maintain attendance records. 
•    Complete enrollment verification requests.
•    Enroll students into Canvas courses.
•    Retrieve grades from Canvas for graduation
•    Retrieve and supply transcriptions upon requests.
 

Shift Availability
This position primarily follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, the incumbent is expected to support students across all three shifts as needed. Shift coverage will be intermittent and based on program demands.

  • First Shift: Begins at 7:00 a.m.
  • Second Shift: Begins at 3:00 p.m.
  • Third Shift: Begins at 11:00 p.m.

 

Work Location
We are looking for staff to work onsite in Danville, VA.   

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Sciences, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in student services, advising, case management, or similar support roles.
  • Experience with diverse, high-risk, or underserved student populations strongly preferred.
  • Strong skills in organization, documentation, and record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of building supportive relationships with diverse students.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful learning environment.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Proficiency in student information systems, Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and SharePoint.

Essential Physical Requirements

  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Basic keyboard and computer operation.
  • Mobility between buildings; light physical activity may be required.
  • Occasional travel as needed.
