Description

Summary:  The Community Training (CTP) Program Director is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the CTP program, ensuring high-quality, person-centered support for individuals served. This includes developing and implementing program policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, supervising staff, managing budgets, and maintaining high standards of support for participants through established program goals and objectives.

Essential Functions*: 

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Community Training Program (CTP).
  • Develop, implement, and monitor program policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations and standards per the CTP program design, Regional Center contracts, and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
  • Develop program goals and implement strategic plans to enhance program effectiveness and achieve desired outcomes, aligned with organization mission and vision.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture.
  • Ensure that services are tailored to meet the unique needs, goals, and preferences of each person supported.
  • Aid in the development of Individual Service Plans (ISP) based on participants’ needs and goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate participant progress and outcomes.
  • Develop and manage the program budget.
  • Ensure financial sustainability of the program.
  • Monitor expenditures and financial performance.
  • Implement quality assurance and improvement processes.
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure the quality and effectiveness of services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, including regional centers, other service providers, and stakeholders.
  • Represent the program at community meetings and events.
  • Serve as an active member of the organization's leadership team. Attend and contribute to monthly leadership meetings and other strategic sessions as required by the Executive Director.
  • Ensure safe operation of all program/work sites in the department.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

Education:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field

Experience:  

  • Must have a minimum of five years’ experience working in the Human Services field, preferably in services for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), with indications of increasing levels of responsibility. 
  • Strong knowledge of service delivery systems, including regional centers and community integration.
  • 4 years of experience in supervision and support of staff.
  • 1 year of experience providing direct support to individuals with IDD.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Preferred Education and Experience: 

Education: 

  • Master’s degree in human services or related field.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Completion of person-centered thinking/planning training.

Experience:  

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the role of program director or department head in support of individuals with IDD.
