Job Summary:

Saint Peter’s University School of Nursing invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position, Assistant or Associate Professor of Nursing, with responsibilities directing the Graduate Program beginning in Spring of 2025. A minimum of 5 years of didactic and clinical teaching expertise and a background in curriculum and teaching in Graduate and Undergraduate Nursing courses.
Candidates must possess a doctoral degree, PhD. or Ed.D., with a major in Nursing in their BSN and MSN degrees from a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission on Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited program. Eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in the State of New Jersey is also required. Successful candidates must possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and show potential for a productive research/scholarship program and the ability to direct the Graduate Program.

Faculty members are doctorally prepared in a nursing specialty and hold tenure or non-tenure earning faculty positions that are responsible for patient care, patient support, and/or teaching and program development and evaluation in the clinical sciences. May also contribute to clinical scholarship and service missions of the university, administrative service, and other educational activities, expectations for which may be described in letters of appointment and in their unit reappointment and promotion criteria.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars.

  • Attend meetings, participate in governance, prepare materials for teaching.

  • Evaluate related work for students and may serve as an academic adviser.

  • May serve on college or university committees.

  • Participate in curriculum development activities.

  • Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of his or her responsibilities.

  • Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications.

  • Other related duties as assigned

Rank: Assistant Professor

Tenure Information: Tenure Track

Salary Range: $82,000 - $85,000

Salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

Qualification Standards:

A minimum of 5 years of clinical and didactic teaching expertise and a background in curriculum and teaching in Adult and Pediatric Nursing is optimal for hire. Beginning in fall of 2023

Education:

Candidates must possess a doctoral degree and a MSN and BSN from a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation
Commission on Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited program.
