Job Summary:
Saint Peter’s University is committed to helping students achieve success in their academic as well as their professional fields. We are currently looking for adjunct professors to teach in our brand new 100% online graduate master’s degree program in Health Sciences. We are looking for qualified individuals who have either taught graduate health science courses and/ or who have professional expertise in the field. Previous experience teaching online courses preferred. Courses currently available: Health Science Research Methods; Disparities in Healthcare; Health Services, Issues, and Trends; Global Health; Legal & Ethical Issues in Healthcare; Health Promotion; Styles of Teaching and Learning; Community Health.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Instruct graduate students in an online environment using digital tools
• Developing and manage the course syllabus, meeting program, college, and University standards
• Develop and present professionally-appropriate lectures, discussions, and assignments that demonstrate relevant and current subject matter expertise
• Develop and update course content, readings, and/or assignments on a routine basis to maintain relevance
• Create engaging, student- centered learning experiences, helping students to connect concepts across the curriculum
• Facilitate student engagement through the use of online tools and the features of the Blackboard LMS
• Maintain an online presence to actively engage students, motivate them to succeed, and convey a genuine interest and enthusiasm for their learning and achievements
• Assess student’s work, providing continuous constructive feedback advise students on improvements, support development with program and course objectives as a guide
• Developing and implement appropriate assessments with the Program Director to evaluate course and program student learning outcomes and curricular goals
• Maintain communication with the Program Director, identifying any students of concern and relaying student progress and provide feedback to the Program Director on possible curricular improvements
