Junior Project Manager, WMS Software

We are hiring a dynamic, customer-focused Project Manager to work out of our Melrose Park, IL corporate office.  This role will support the implementation of our WMS software, Easy WMS, at our customer’s sites all over the US. 

Responsibilities:

• Act as a liaison between the customer contact(s) on the project site and Interlake Mecalux departments to coordinate the implementation of the WMS software.
• Develop project timelines and budgets with milestone dates for completion of work.  Meet with internal resources and customers to ensure project is completed according to schedule and according to our Company’s methodologies.
• Coordinate the work of Interlake Mecalux’s software project engineers and consultants, monitoring the completion of their work as the project progresses
• Meet with the customer to assist in their training and understanding of the WMS software.
• Write project reports, memoranda, and correspondence detailing project status and issues.
• Negotiate with the customer to determine the cost, terms, and conditions of change orders.
• Travel in furtherance of responsibilities.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Computer Science, Telecommunications, etc.)
• Knowledge of logistics and supply chain
• Customer Service Oriented – Experience in customer-facing roles and handling customers
• Ability to lead and coordinate diverse teams in order to achieve desired results.
• Professional communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate in difficult situations. Fluency in English is required and fluency in Spanish valued.
• Availability to travel approximately 20% of the time.
