Description

TheĀ Site ManagerĀ role is responsible for overseeing the overall racking installation at our customers' sites in the USA. This role is responsible for preparing RFQ's, reviewing and controlling projects budgets, negotiating scope of work for the approved contractors, ensuring the customer and subcontractors follow their scope of work and contracts, ensuring the schedule is met, overseeing safety and compliance of procedures, preparing and reviewing drawings and materials, coordinating site areas and needs, coordinating interaction with other professionals and contractors working int the same area/project, calculating project progress and reporting to Area Manager, and anticipating and solving possible site issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations related to the installation of manual warehouse projects at the customer's site.
  • Review drawings and prepare construction plans. Review all projects contracts before submitting to management. Approve project plans.
  • Prepare RFQ's and negotiate with subcontractors in regards to the work to be done.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources and needs among the subcontractors and the customer.
  • Monitor material flow and delivery planning. Verify deliveries and report discrepancies to logistics, engineering, and Area Manager.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and internal personnel resources. Assign tasks and schedules to ensure proper coverage and milestone accomplishment. Enforce policies and procedures with personnel, focusing especially on safety and quality. Address safety concerns and mediate conflicts.
  • Coordinate training and professional development activities for employees.
  • Provide support to the contractors related to assembly methodology and drawing interpretation. Provide feedback to the Area Manager related to job performance metrics of personnel on site.
  • Calculate, maintain, and adhere to the project's budget.
  • Track and monitors project progress, adhering to prearranged standards.
  • Answer inquiries from potential project partners.
  • Prepare and submit weekly progress reports.
  • Verify the structural systems per topographic measurements.

Qualifications

  • Ability to travel (mostly domestic and Canada) for work, 100% of the time. We try to bring you home every other weekend.
  • At least 3 years of related experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and plans.
  • Strong knowledge of site safety, OSHA, etc.
  • Professional communication and customer service skills.
