- Earned Ph.D. or DBA in Accounting or a closely related field from an accredited institution preferred; ABD (All But Dissertation) may be considered for an entry-level rank.
- Demonstrated effective teaching at the undergraduate level; prior graduate teaching is a plus.
- Professional accounting experience in public accounting, industry, government, or nonprofit accounting roles. Experience areas might include audit and assurance, tax preparation and planning, Financial accounting and reporting, managerial or cost accounting, consulting, internal audit, forensic accounting or accounting information systems.
- Evidence of continued professional engagement by maintaining licensure, attending continuing professional education courses, consulting, publishing practitioner articles, conference presentations, working papers, or published articles in peer-reviewed journals.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and business/community partners.
- A collaborative approach and demonstrated initiative in curriculum design, pedagogical innovation, and student mentoring.
- A vibrant Christian faith consistent with Anderson University’s mission: candidates should possess a vitality of Christian experience that is maturing in insight and application; they must commit to the integration of faith and learning and affirm the University’s statement of faith and lifestyle expectations.
- Eligibility for employment in the United States is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CMA license or progress toward the same.
- Experience coordinating and/or managing a VITA site or a willingness to learn.
- Ability to teach Quickbooks, or other accounting software products.
- Experience working with business partners for internships, experiential learning, and industry networking.
