What You’ll Do:

As an ISC Sales & Service Representative, you’ll provide outstanding phone and digital support to both new and existing clients. You’ll assist with renewing and quoting policies, processing endorsements, resolving billing issues, and promoting additional insurance and credit union products based on the client’s needs. This is a non-face-to-face role focused on phone and electronic communication. You’ll also support retention and cross-selling efforts, document interactions thoroughly in our systems, and contribute to projects and team initiatives as needed.

The position responsibilities are:

  1. Answer incoming calls, emails and texts from current and prospective clients.
  2. Completes service tickets in the expected time frame.
  3. Quotes additional insurance products for existing policyholders.
  4. Identifies clients needs and promotes additional Credit Union and Insurance products.
  5. Resolves billing issues and accurately submits policy endorsements.
  6. Documents every transaction into management system, including scanning and uploading files.
  7. Provides assistance to management on specific projects.
  8. Sorts and distributes all incoming and returned mail.
  9. Accepts and completes online chat and text sessions regarding insurance inquiries.
  10. Collect insurance premium payments electronically and over the phone.
  11. Performs outbound sales calls and provides quotes to submit new business policies on behalf of all CU partner programs.
  12. Looks for opportunities to cross sell additional Credit Union partners products to existing policyholders.
  13. Assists branch agents with their own retention efforts.
  14. Review, renew and update all manual policies.
  15. Review and prepare audit requests randomly submitted by our insurance carriers.
  16. Assists in training other members of the insurance team.
  17. Processes carrier requests for additional information or documentation.

Qualifications

Education/ Certifications/ Licenses

A high school diploma and a valid state insurance license (preferred).

Experience

6 months to 2 years of customer service or insurance-related experience.

A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.re essential to the position.
