Maplefields, a leading Vermont based Convenience Store operator, is seeking a self-motivated technology Team Member to work directly with the Director of Technology, as well as the Sr. IT Manager in daily operations and new projects.
Successful candidates will be involved with many aspects of day-to-day operations and offer support to stores and offices located throughout Vermont, New Hampshire, and Northern New York. The primary role will be to provide store level support both on site as well as remote support. The IT candidate will be part of our internal support for Point-of-Sale systems, back-office data systems, store networking, DSL/Cable connectivity as well as a working knowledge of firewalls and various router hardware. The IT team member will be part of our existing team on new projects, installations, and implementation of new and existing technology. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Technology and the Sr. IT Manager in moving the company forward with leading technology. This position will require an open communication between the Director of Technology and the Sr. IT Manger, both written and verbal.  Day to day activities could range from basic spreadsheet and document creation to being on-site in remote locations running cables and configuring networks, working with Interfaces, technology communication issues, monitoring site connectivity, reviewing security report, Vulnerability Scans, Penetration testing reports. The IT team member position requires the ability to take on an assigned task, work with set guidelines and follow-through to completion. Weekly updates will be provided in writing to the Director of Technology on project progression. A successful candidate must be able to work independently, with a fair amount of anonymity.Â
