SUMMARY
The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer will design, perform capacity planning, tuning, administration, monitoring, and management of the enterprise infrastructure to include network systems, VOIP, virtualization solutions, domain controllers, storage management (Storage Area Networks, Direct Attached Storage, and Network Attached Storage), messaging systems, software applications, print and other servers, and user workstations. The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer will analyze systems for security vulnerabilities, identify available patches and upgrades, determine and apply those necessary, and mitigate the security vulnerabilities. The Infrastructure Engineer collaborates with business units to identify, select, and implement technology solutions matched to business needs. These responsibilities will all be performed employing significant discretion and independent decision-making with negligible oversight.

Plans, designs, coordinates, implements, and manages various enterprise systems to include Enterprise Applications, networking, VOIP, servers, virtualization, storage management (SAN, DAS, and NAS), messaging solutions, print servers and domain controller services and platforms.

Determines, installs, tunes, and enforces enterprise-wide operating system software; has primary responsibility for the review, analysis, and selection of systems patches to mitigate security vulnerabilities (to include operating systems, applications, and data stores.)

Works collaboratively with business units to identify, test, and evaluate software and hardware solutions to ensure that the technical solutions provided match the business needs. Proactively engages users to promote capabilities and proper use of supported systems and services.

Develops and enforces workstation images and configurations and integrates software solutions in a Microsoft Active Directory environment.

Analyzes, performs advanced troubleshooting, and resolves system hardware, software and networking issues associated with all enterprise systems.

Performs advanced systems administration activities that include capacity planning, tuning, storage management, infrastructure security and disaster recovery preparation and testing.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Evaluates emerging technologies, vets vendors and solutions, and makes recommendations for new equipment and services to purchase.

Provides expert advice to management related to long-term business objectives.

Configures, optimizes, and monitors operating system software and servers.

Configures, optimizes, and monitors Enterprise Infrastructure including Network, Compute, and Storage.

Design and deploy networks; Maintain network servers such as file servers, and VPN gateways.

Serves as a primary administrator of the enterprise messaging systems, including E-Mail and Collaborationsolutions.

Manages Active Directory functions including: user account creation and login scripts.

Creates and maintains good technical documentation which includes detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining systems capabilities and processes.

Performs on-site and remote technical support.

Provides emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule.• Cybersecurity is a part of everyone’s responsibility and is considered the responsibility of this role.
