Description

This is an onsite position at our Edmond, Oklahoma office.

Your Role:  Design, describe, and manage the solution engineering in relation to specific business problems.  Lead the practice and introduce the overall technical vision for a solution. Work closely with BIS clients throughout all phases of the software implementation life cycle.  Meet directly with clients to demonstrate solutions, answer questions regarding software capabilities and requirements, and work to resolve issues that arise during the development cycle.

Responsibilities:

Analysis and Design

  • Perform analysis, whether onsite or remotely, in order to elicit and examine functional specifications and requirements; translate them into system guidelines for multi-tiered solutions that shape project development: align processes and products with client goals
  • Conduct research on existing systems and devise solutions that work within those systems
  • Plan, design and execute complex yet effective and efficient software solutions
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain established design procedures and processes to assure app and robust service design
  • Provide design suggestions and best practices for the solution across business processes, archive, business continuity, backup, recovery, and high availability

Deploy

  • Implement, test, and upgrade solutions in multiple client environments (i.e., Production, QA, Test) with a focus on risk mitigation
  • Install and configure solution components per installation and design specifications
  • Debugging and testing solution components and process flows
  • Effectively troubleshoot software issues, and perform research for resolution
  • Adhere to solution best-practices

 

Train

  • Document solution components, user methods, and procedures for training and/or training resources
  • Produce training materials for administrators, end users, and other department personnel in the proper use of solution

 

Support

  • Creation of documentation regarding solution configuration and user instructions in order to effectively support the solution
  • Effectively conduct diagnostics to troubleshoot software issues, research resolution(s)
  • Provide technical assistance and client support for routine and failure situations

 

Collaborate

  • Lead design team through functional specifications and requirements review
  • Collaborate with necessary internal and client resources to ensure architectural solution could be suitably translated into effectual and robust implementation
  • Ensure delivered solution is robust and meets the client’s needs
  • Work with clients and technical resources throughout user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Prepare and present UAT test plans, technical presentations, solution demonstrations, or analyst briefings, as necessary
  • Communicate project progress, issues, and concerns with clients, stakeholders, and coworkers

 

Additional Functions:

  • Aid sales resources for product and solution demonstrations, requirement scoping, client discussions, or other functions as necessary
  • Assist in-house support teams regarding hardware, software, and network applications
  • Responsible for promoting, maintaining, and enforcing information security
  • Demonstrate punctuality, maintain attendance reliability and dependability
  • Time management pertaining to planning and preparing for new projects
  • Other relative duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Your Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree preferred; 2-4 years related experience in lieu of education
  • Content management or database management preferred
  • Application support and deployment experience
  • Experience with the following preferred:
    • Database systems (SQL, Oracle)
    • Database management software (SQL Management Studio, TOAD)
    • Visual Studio for Microsoft.Net development (VB, C#)
    • Microsoft Office
    • Windows server and desktop operating systems
    • Microsoft Active Directory
    • Microsoft Internet Information Services

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting for long periods of time

  • Repetitive motion involving hands and fingers
