Job Summary
The Accounting Manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of NOAH’s financial operations. The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting functions, lead process improvement and automation initiatives, and guide a high-performing team toward analytical responsibilities to support strategic initiatives. This individual will be instrumental in modernizing the accounting function, reducing manual workflows, and supporting forward-looking financial management to help advance the mission of the organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Leads the accounting team, including senior and staff accountants, revenue analyst, and accounts payable specialist.

Oversee daily operations of general accounting, revenue recognition, accounts payable, and month-end close activities.

Drives a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and performance excellence.

Identifies training needs and development opportunities to elevate the team’s skillset from transactional to analytical and strategic functions.

Assists with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and performance management of accounting staff.

Ensures compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Directs and enhances all accounting operations including GL, account reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, and financial reporting.

Establishes and enforces internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and safeguard assets.

Oversees preparation and analysis of periodic financial statements (e.g., monthly, quarterly, and annual), including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow.

Supports the annual audit process by coordinating with external auditors and preparing necessary documentation.

Ensures timely and accurate filing of regulatory and tax documents (including Form 990 and UDS financials).

Collaborates with the Controller and CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial planning.

Designs and implements process automation for reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.

Leads or supports initiatives to adopt artificial intelligence, RPA (robotic process automation), and business intelligence tools to streamline reporting and enhance insight generation.

Develop dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support operational and financial decision-making.

Analyzes financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

Assists in cash flow management, grant tracking, and restricted fund reporting.

Evaluates and implements new accounting systems, tools, and technologies.

Participates in organization-wide initiatives, quality improvement efforts, and cross-functional projects as needed.
