REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in human services, policy, public health, public administration, or business field OR: equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of the homeless service system in San Francisco preferred.
- Knowledge of housing laws and tenant rights.
- Strong working knowledge of the mental health, physical health, educational, vocational, cultural and developmental needs of adults experiencing homelessness in a diverse and multi-cultural environment.
- Knowledge of, and commitment to, client-centric services delivery including harm reduction,
trauma-informed, cultural sensitivity, housing first and motivational practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative work style, initiative, and flexibility; demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively as an individual and part of a team.
- Financial management competence, personnel development skills, and computer proficiency.
- Proactive, self-motivated, resourceful/adaptable, and creative in the planning process; able to manage multiple tasks and adjust quickly to changing priorities, and to effectively resolve and cope with immediate crisis situations.
- Possess a friendly attitude, customer service mentality, intellectual curiosity, imaginative and visionary outlook, and a good sense of humor.
- Professional and discreet demeanor with good interpersonal skills; ability to handle confidential information, tactful, respectful, discrete.
- Must have the ability to welcome and respect co-workers and client populations as unique individuals with different backgrounds, perspectives as well as differences in personalities, skill sets, life experiences, and knowledge bases.

- Lived experienced preferred, but not necessary
- At least 5 years of leadership experiencing supervising staff to include: selection of staff, training, development, performance evaluations, progressive discipline, taking appropriate disciplinary action and knowing when to partner with Senior Leadership and Human Resources.
OTHER:
Must secure finger image screening and annual TB screening. Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position which may include long periods at a desk and/or computer workstation, daily travel to various sites, and lifting of up to 25 lbs.
