Job Title: Internal Communications Manager

 

Position Summary:

 

Magna Legal Services is seeking an Internal Communications Manager to join our team! The Internal Communications Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing communication strategies that inform, engage, and align employees with Magna Legal Services' organizational goals and values. This role will ensure that all internal communication is clear, consistent, and supports a positive and cohesive workplace culture.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Internal Communication Strategy: Develop and execute an internal communication strategy that promotes transparency, drives employee engagement, and aligns with the company’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
  • Employee Engagement: Create and distribute regular updates, newsletters, and communication materials to keep employees informed about company news, announcements, and initiatives.
  • Leadership Communication: Support senior leadership in crafting and delivering messages to employees, including town halls, all-hands meetings, and written updates.
  • Content Creation: Write, edit, and proofread a variety of internal communication materials, including emails, newsletters, memos, and presentations.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Marketing, and other departments to ensure that internal communications are aligned with company priorities and initiatives and facilitate smooth information flow across teams.
  • Company Culture and Values: Advocate for company culture by highlighting employee achievements, reinforcing core values, and creating content that fosters a sense of belonging and community within the company.
  • Employee Feedback: Collect and analyze employee feedback through surveys, polls, and other tools, and use insights to refine communication efforts and improve employee satisfaction.
  • Crisis Communication: Assist in managing internal communication during crisis situations, ensuring that accurate and timely information is shared with employees.
  • Communication Metrics: Track and measure the effectiveness of internal communications, using metrics and feedback to continuously improve communication strategies.
  • Technology Project Plans and IT Communications: Manage and oversee communication plans for technology-related projects, including system updates, IT initiatives, and digital transformation efforts. Ensure that employees are informed about technological changes, software rollouts, and IT support procedures. Work with relevant business line leaders to establish team notification processes to manage incidents or issues, ensuring timely and clear communication during system outages, technical difficulties, or service interruptions. Coordinate with IT to provide status updates and resolutions, minimizing disruption and maintaining alignment across departments.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of Investor and Board presentation materials, including communication and slide decks.
  • Support the development of  communications planning during acquisitions for newly integrated employees and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with HR for onboarding communication of all new employees.
  • Provide support for external and client communication as requested
  • Assist with updating content and potential development and management of the intranet.
  • Communication with Court Reporters.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in internal communications or corporate communications, with a focus on employee engagement and organizational messaging.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different employee groups.
  • Strong understanding of the tools and platforms used in internal communications (e.g., intranet, email, collaboration platforms).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with teams across different departments.
  • Experience with survey tools, employee engagement platforms, and communication analytics is a plus.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a professional services environment.
  • Knowledge of content management systems and internal social platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint).
  • Familiarity with change management communication strategies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and creating graphics within the tool.

 

Compensation: USD $110,000 - $130,000 per year.

 

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
