Position Summary
The Radiology Technician performs diagnostic imaging procedures to assist providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role combines technical expertise with a strong focus on patient safety, comfort, and professional communication. The position will also serve as the check-out/referral clerk and is responsible for assisting patients as they complete their visit, ensuring follow-up appointments, referrals, and documentation are handled accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, attentive to detail, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service.

Job Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians.
  • Instruct patients regarding procedures to ensure cooperation and optimum test results.
  • Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment.
  • Maintain equipment in appropriate operating condition.
  • Maintain examination rooms and work areas.
  • Order and stock all supplies.
  • Maintain accurate department records, reports, and files as directed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Work as a team member within the ultrasound department and all other departments.
  • Document work processes as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Between X-rays being performed, you will be cross trained for the front office as a check-out/referral clerk.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program required.

Compensation: Negotiable based on experience

Schedule Requirements:

Full-time position, 5 days per week, 100% clinic-based, in person work required.

Work schedules are set at the discretion of CFMC and may be adjusted at any time based on the operational needs of the organization.
