These services include evidence-based practices, school-based and outpatient therapy, psychiatric evaluations and treatment, Community Support and substance abuse services to name a few.

The Substance Use Disorder therapist will provide group and individual substance abuse mental health counseling to substance abuse consumers. The person in this position will work with clients and families/natural supports to assess their strengths and needs in order to determine the type(s) of treatment modalities needed and then provide those services directly.

Compensation: Salary $54,373

We are seeking a full-time Substance use Disorder Therapist to provide the following services:

  • Assess and monitor client’s mental health and substance abuse needs through comprehensive clinical assessment or diagnostic assessment.
  • Work to implement therapeutic interventions, crisis interventions, behavioral interventions, psych-educational activities, and other best evidence-based practice therapies available.
  • Provide individual, family, or group therapy to clients and their families/natural supports, based on needs, diagnoses, and best evidence-based practices and in a way that adheres to the Agency’s core values
  • Provide any required documentation, which includes treatment notes, goals, comprehensive clinical assessment/diagnostic assessments, and plans for the medical record (e.g., service notes, PCP, etc.).
  • Recommend the types of treatment modalities needed and provide these services directly or by referral.
  • Develop/evaluate the service plan to ensure that services are being delivered and are appropriate to the needs of the client.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work and direct experience with working with mental health and/or substance use clients.
  • LCAS or LCAS-A
