Database Administrators performs the following functions:

  • Provides comprehensive support and maintenance for all MIDFLORIDA database systems and associated applications.
  • Responsible for designing, reviewing, and maintaining daily operational processes, with a focus on automation and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data within production databases.
  • Contributes to the achievement of IT and organizational objectives by successfully completing assigned tasks and projects.
  • Learn, recommend, and implement new technologies to benefit MIDFLORIDA Credit Union and its members
  • Exercise sound judgment and discretion while remaining compliant with well-defined limits and guidelines.
  • Deliver problem solving solutions and perform research as needed.
  • Provide technical solutions in support of MIDFLORIDA’s electronic services.
  • Professional and efficient communications with all departments promoting synergy.
  • Exhibit a high degree of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism always.
  • Exude a positive and professional attitude with members and partners consistently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing and developing Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases; including design, optimization, and maintenance.
  • Proficient in designing, implementing, and maintaining SSIS-based ETL processes to support data integration
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Able to work in a team environment as well as independent with minimal supervision
  • This position also participates in an on-call support rotation as required.
