Position Summary:

The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. As a member of the HR team, will provide support in all HR functions, in addition to recruiting/talent acquisition.

 

The person in this position will need to display a high degree of initiative, have excellent time management, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Top candidates should have a strong recruiting background, be a team player and have outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs.  Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
  2. Identify appropriate recruiting strategy.  Develop and execute recruiting plans.
  3. Support the company’s hiring needs with job posting on company website, scheduling complex interviews while providing an excellent candidate experience. Interviews include phone, videoconferencing, and onsite interviews.
  4. Serve as the primary point of contact for all candidates who are going through the onboarding process.
  5. Complete background checks, pre-employment drug screen documents, and send onboarding documents to bring new employees into the system.
  6. Maintain HR Data Systems.
  7. Ensuring process completion for all new hires to include: background checks, orientation, and new hire paperwork, along with making travel arrangements as needed.
  8. Prepare and distribute metrics reporting on a weekly basis.
  9. Manage on-line resume database to ensure applicant information is current to include: complete applications, background information, identification details, etc.
  10. Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • One (1) year of recruiting and interviewing experience preferred.      
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices as they apply to the hiring process. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills. 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus)
  • Performs light to medium work exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
  • This position is not required to stand for long periods of time; however, some filing may be required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

 

Working Conditions:

  • This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
  • Work hours will vary daily due to business needs
  • HRIS/Paycom experience preferred. 
  • Ability to maintain effective professional relationships. 
  • Highly self-motivated, able to work fairly autonomously with general direction.
