Position Summary:  Silver Eagle’s Sales Floater position is a flexible position that will spend some day in the role of a Merchandiser and some days in the role of a Sales Specialist 1 (SSI), filling in as needed.. In the Merchandiser position, Sales Floaters will conduct daily merchandising activities in grocery stores including but not limited to building displays, permanent and paper Point of Sale (P.O.S.) placements, space management (within T.A.B.C. guidelines) pricing of products where allowed by retailers, including pricing, pull-ups including rotation per Company Policy. As a SSI, Sales Floaters will assume the route of the SSI and use sales tools and techniques to achieve team sales quotas on assigned accounts/routes.

    

 

Job Duties:

Sales Specialist I

  1. Takes adequate inventory at each account in order to make proper recommendations of product needs and to maintain properly stocked inventory levels.
  2. Restocks account inventories by moving product from back rooms to cold boxes,  displays and shelves (cold and warm) in assigned accounts ensuring all products are within code date. 
  3. Sells displays, authorized products and packages, shelf facings, and Point of Sale materials.
  4. Follows Suppliers’ agreement guidelines at each account and maintains proper code dates for all products.
  5. Merchandises products, restocks products, makes space adjustments as allowed, builds displays and installs POS as agreed upon by retailer.
  6. Ensures appropriate paper P.O.S. is in accounts and ensures pricing is in place.
  7. Develops and maintains good communication with managers at each account
  8. Notifies Area Sales Manager of all pertinent changes in accounts assigned including file maintenance, license updates, route scheduling and competitive activity.  Submits daily activity reports to supervisor.

 

Merchandiser

  1. Restock account inventories by moving product from back rooms to cold boxes, displays, and warm shelves in assigned accounts; must follow Code Date Policy.
  2. Maintain knowledge of SEBev's complete and growing portfolio of Brands and Packages
  3. Strive to achieve the number one position in each account in the placement of paper (promotional and theme) and permanent P.O.S. to ensure Silver Eagle dominance.
  4. Ensure appropriate paper P.O.S. is in accounts and pricing is in place 
  5. Assist and/or builds displays with proper P.O.S. per Company policy, to meet retailer needs and to maximize product sales.
  6. Manages time effectively to route daily work needs.       
  7. Adheres to strict safe working practices, Company policies, rules, regulations, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports to supervisor if not immediately correctable.
  8. Submit daily activity reports to supervisor.      
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. 1 year of general work experience preferred. Prior grocery store and/or consumer products experience a strong plus.
  3. Excellent communication, organizational and assertive skills.
  4. Must have dependable personal vehicle to perform assigned work for Silver Eagle with proof of liability insurance.   
  5. Driving record within MVR policy guidelines. - No license revocation, suspension, DUI/DWI, careless or reckless driving.
  6. Ability to operate a two or four wheel dolly.
  7. Must handle alcohol and work within T.A.B.C Guidelines.
  8. Must have a cell phone with data capability.

 

Physical Requirements:

  1.  Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus).
  2. Continuous standing and walking, up to 8 hours at a time.
  3. Continuous lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling 20-161 lbs. 
  4. Ability to operate a two or four wheel dolly.
  5. Must be able to push 300 lbs dolly load and move 161 lbs kegs.
  6. Must be able to operate a forklift and a pallet jack.
  7. Frequent driving distances between 0-75 miles in one sitting.  
  8. Frequent climbing, pushing, pulling and maneuvering dolly, hand truck, bay roll up doors, straps, curb ramps, truck doors, boxes, cases, kegs, truck gear shift.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  1. All weather conditions (indoor & outdoor) including high temperatures , cool/cold temperatures, wind, ice, humidity, rain, fog, hail, sleet and snow
  2. Daylight, twilight, evening and dark lighting conditions
  3. Noise, vibration, dust, dirt, airborne particles, fumes
  4. Work hours will vary daily due to business needs
