As a Product Owner at Kapitus, you will be responsible for helping our internal customers find ways to succeed and provide ways to help them grow the company. We are seeking a strategic and driven Product Owner to lead the vision, execution, and continuous enhancement of internal tools and systems powering our Customer Service and Collections teams. This role is critical to enhancing the post-funding customer experience and enabling operational efficiency through thoughtful, data-informed product development.
You’ll be responsible for managing the product backlog, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and delivering features that drive measurable business outcomes. Success in this role requires a balance of strategic thinking, operational insight, and executional excellence.

What You’ll Do:

- Craft a vision and strategy based on input from customers, stakeholders, and the development team that can be clearly communicated to all levels of the organization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements; own and manage the product backlog, balancing stakeholder input and value-based metrics to prioritize features for development.
- Define clear, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria and outcome statements.
- Continuously adapt the plan by adjusting scope and priorities to deliver the most valuable solutions possible.
- Identify opportunities to improve internal efficiency and the customer journey through automation and tool enhancement.
- Ensure all product work meets compliance and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with data analysts to create dashboards and reports that provide insights into tangible outcomes such as product performance and user engagement.
- Leverage Salesforce capabilities to optimize customer relationship management and streamline operations.

What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems or related fields
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner delivering measurable business value, ideally in lending, financial services or other regulated industry.

- You have great communication and collaboration skills, an innate sense of user empathy, and an obsession with delivering solutions that provides value to end-users.
- You are comfortable balancing qualitative feedback and quantitative data to drive decisions; you are a proactive problem solver with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Confident working in Agile environments and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
- Salesforce knowledge: Experience in using Salesforce for CRM and operational enhancements.
- Experience with API integration and a strong understanding of how to use APIs to enhance product functionality.
- Proven ability to define and track KPIs and success metrics to measure product impact and drive continuous improvement.
- Desired experience partnering with Customer Service, Collections, or internal operations, and understanding their tools and pain points.

Kapitus Total Rewards Package Includes:Â
- Competitive Base Salary Range of $96,300 – $154,400. Kapitus is providing this as a good faith salary range to comply with applicable law. The applicant’s final salary will depend on a number of factors including the applicant’s geographic location, skills, and experience.
