Position Summary
We are establishing a new Project Management Office (PMO) to bring structure, visibility, and accountability to key strategic initiatives across our company. As the founding member of this team, the Senior Project Manager will be instrumental in designing and implementing how we plan, execute, and deliver critical projects that span Technology, Product, Sales, Media Fulfillment, People & Culture, IT, and Finance.
This role is ideal for a seasoned project manager with strong technical experience, who thrives on building robust but pragmatic frameworks and leading adoption across a dynamic organization. You will own projects from initial concept through delivery developing project plans, defining milestones and deliverables, managing dependencies, and ensuring measurable results. The Senior Project Manager should be comfortable wearing multiple hats and taking a hands-on approach to ensure success without relying on large teams or layers of process.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of cross-functional projects from initiation and requirements gathering through execution, testing, launch, and retrospectives.
- Develop detailed project plans that define scope, milestones, deliverables, timelines, resource allocations, and budgets, ensuring all workstreams are sequenced and dependencies clearly mapped.
- Build and lead adoption of PMO frameworks and governance, including project intake, prioritization, approval processes, reporting cadences, and lessons-learned reviews.
- Leverage and administer technical project management tools, including Jira and Confluence, to create workflows, manage sprints, and maintain real-time visibility into progress, blockers, and KPIs.
- Work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams, adapting your approach whether managing a software release, a product enhancement, a finance system upgrade, or a people & culture initiative.
- Partner with engineering, IT, and product teams to translate complex technical requirements into actionable plans and hold all contributors accountable for deliverables.
- Identify, track, and proactively mitigate risks and cross-team dependencies, escalating issues as needed to ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope.
- Provide clear, concise, and executive-ready status reports and ROI tracking to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor and change agent, balancing process rigor with flexibility to fit our culture and evolving priorities.
