The Position:   

Morales Group and related companies are seeking a strategic and hands-on Corporate Controller with a strong background in financial leadership, post-acquisition integration, and both process improvement and optimization of existing workflows. This role is critical to aligning newly acquired entities, standardizing and enhancing financial operations, and strengthening internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to assess current-state operations and drive sustainable improvements that support scalability and operational excellence. 

Morales Group and its affiliated companies are seeking a strategic and hands-on Corporate Controller to lead continuous process improvement and financial optimization across the organization. This role is instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency, strengthening internal controls, and streamlining financial workflows, particularly in post-acquisition environments. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in collaborating with IT to develop robust back-end workflows and system architecture between ATS and ERP, driving process standardization and efficiency across financial operations, and enhancing the accuracy of financial reporting for stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring a proven ability to evaluate existing systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement scalable, data-driven solutions that elevate performance, ensure compliance, and support sustainable growth. 

Essential Functions/Job Specific: 

Process Improvement & Optimization: 

  • Evaluate and enhance existing accounting and finance processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. 

  • Identify gaps and inefficiencies in current workflows and implement best practices across entities. 

  • Standardize and document processes across business units to ensure consistency and compliance. 

  • Reduce month-end close time and improve the quality and timeliness of financial reporting. 

Financial Management: 

  • Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP 

  • Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and reporting requirements. 

  • Coordinate and oversee various Company audits, including annual financial audit, 401k audit, workers compensation audit, among others 

  • Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, and enhance the Company’s value 

  • Manage the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. 

Systems and Technology: 

  • Lead ERP integrations and system enhancements to support business growth and acquisitions. 

  • Champion automation initiatives to streamline processes and eliminate manual inefficiencies. 

Integration Leadership 

  • Lead financial integration efforts for acquired companies, ensuring alignment of policies, procedures, systems, and reporting structures.

  • Skilled in leading diverse teams, resolving conflicts, and promoting a productive and positive work environment 

  • Combines analytical precision with strong organizational habits and clear communication 

  • Demonstrates professionalism and discretion in handling confidential employee and company information. 

Experience: 

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5+ years of experience in accounting oversight related role 

  • Demonstrated success in integrating acquired companies and improving both new and existing financial processes. 

  • ERP system experience (e.g NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.  

  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, consolidations, and financial systems. 

  • CPA a plus
