Description

The Wedding Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing all wedding celebrations across Watersound Club’s premier venues: Watersound Beach Club, Camp Creek Inn & Amenities, and Shark’s Tooth Clubhouse. This highly organized and detail-oriented professional will serve as the primary point of contact for all wedding-related inquiries, venue tours, sales, and event execution.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading sales efforts and coordinating with potential clients from initial inquiry through contract completion
  • Conducting on-site tours
  • Actively promoting wedding venues at bridal shows and through print/digital publications
  • Collaborating closely with clients and vendors to create and communicate detailed event timelines
  • Ensuring flawless execution of each event with a proactive and hands-on approach
  • Working with internal teams to maintain the highest level of client satisfaction and service standards
  • Construct banquet event orders (BEOs) to comply with client expectations
  • Properly handle budgeting and invoicing
  • Hold extensive knowledge of event menus and packages
  • Serve as the liaison between location and clients and vendors to ensure clear communication
  • Develop relationships with outside vendors to provide additional services if needed

This is a creative and dynamic role that blends hospitality, sales, and event expertise. A passion for weddings and a commitment to delivering unforgettable experiences are essential.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or business management preferred
  • 3-5 years of wedding sales experience preferred

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Extensive hospitality and event planning experience
  • Detail oriented and thorough
  • Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of clients and guests
  • Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards
  • Ability to interact with clients and guests in a pleasant friendly way
  • Jonas and Delphi experience preferred
  • Ability to knowledgably operate Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Excellent Event coordination skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally via email, text messaging, and mobile calls
  • Knowledge of cutting-edge event trends
  • Proficiency in time delegation

 

Qualifications

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods at a time
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs

Working Conditions:

  • Indoor and/or outdoor depending on location
  • Possible exposure to extreme heat or cold depending on season
  • Possible exposure to high levels of stress
