Education and Experience:Â
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous experience as a server preferredÂ
- Must successfully complete food safety, alcohol & job training.Â
- Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs
 Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Â
- Knowledge of special diets to ensure safety of guests when ordering foodÂ
- Knowledge of Forbes standards as they pertain to service operations and efficiency, entry into a guest room, in room dining table setup and presentation, name usage, and guest communications.
- Basic knowledge of rooms and suites – Floor layouts and room types
- Basic Knowledge of Spirits, Beer, Wine & BeveragesÂ
- Ability to work well in a team environment Â
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skillsÂ
- Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accordinglyÂ
- Ability to operate point-of-sale systemsÂ
- Detail-oriented and thoroughÂ
- Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guestsÂ
- Ability to perform consistent work to the highest standardsÂ
- Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly wayÂ
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple guests at a timeÂ
Physical Demands:Â
- Standing for extended periods, walking, bending, kneeling and stooping.Â
- Must be able to lift 25lbs.Â
- Must be able to safely deliver food and drinks on different surfacesÂ
Working Conditions:Â
- Exposure to slippery surfaces and stairs depending on locationÂ
- Indoor and/or outdoorÂ
- Exposure to extreme heat and cold depending on season and location Â
