Job Summary: The Facilities Technician II ensures the property is in top-notch condition for guests and associates. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you are accountable for maintaining various systems and building components, such as mechanical and electrical systems, pumps, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, furniture, paint, wall coverings, tile, and other equipment. Collaborating as needed, you also provide support to the Facilities Technician I.

Job Responsibilities:Â
- Perform independent maintenance tasks in guest rooms and hotel buildings (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, furniture assembly).
- Troubleshoot and conduct mid-level repairs in plumbing, HVAC, painting, and sheet rock.
- Collaborate with skilled maintenance or contractors for complex issues.
- Conduct routine checks and proactive maintenance in assigned areas.
- Update and manage work order tickets promptly.
- Communicate effectively with relevant departments for work orders.
- Respond promptly to work orders, ensuring timely resolution.
- Perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of department equipment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.
- Maintain a superior guest room product according to hotel standards.
- Strictly adhere to the hotel's HAZMAT program.
- Adhere to the hotel's work order system, prioritizing tasks.
- Foster teamwork and responsiveness, undertaking tasks consistent with hotel standards.
- Observe and adhere to all department rules, regulations, and dress code.
- Monitor services provided by external contractors and vendors.
- Ensure safety and security throughout the hotel.
- Maintain exterior grounds, parking areas, and public access areas.
- Provide direct assistance to Facilities Tech I as needed.
- Maintain documentation of daily logs, readings, and building inspection programs.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by superiors.
