We’re looking for a hands-on, customer-focused Design Specialist/Receiver to join our team. In this role, you’ll support homeowners with making selections during their design appointments while also ensuring our materials are received, organized, and available when needed. This is a unique position that combines customer service/design with inventory and receiving responsibilities.
Schedule: Monday–Friday with one weeknight evening and every other Saturday morning rotation.
What You’ll Do
Design Center Support
- Provide exceptional customer service to homeowners during design appointments.
- Answer phones and schedule appointments.
- Assist with stone, edge profile, and sink selections.
- Mark and manage customer holds in the Material Hold Log.
- Communicate daily with Purchasing to help maintain optimal inventory levels.
Receiving & Inventory
- Receive and verify incoming materials with proper documentation.
- Complete daily receiving entries and send digital packing slips to Purchasing.
- Photograph all incoming slabs within 24 hours of receipt.
- Notify/deliver incoming product to end users.
- Maintain accurate raw material and supply inventories.
- Organize and clean inventory areas, ensuring racking and materials are well maintained.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical tagging of inventory.
- Process all outbound shipments.
- Facilitate the Slab Smith photo process as required.
- Support housekeeping, organization, and safety in the Design Center.
