Position: Measure Technician / Countertop Templater

Reports To: Field Technician Manager or Field Technician Supervisor
Job Type: Full-Time

General Purpose of Job

The Measure Technician plays a vital role in the countertop fabrication and installation process by creating precise digital templates for granite, quartz, laminate, and solid surface countertops. This is a process-oriented, customer-facing position requiring attention to detail, strong communication skills, and strict adherence to established procedures. The Measure Technician must represent Classic Rock Fabrication with professionalism, ensuring both accuracy in templating and a superior customer service experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Notify clients one hour prior to the scheduled appointment and ensure punctual arrival.
• Accurately measure countertops using digital templating devices (LT Laser, scanners, etc.) and verify with tape measures as needed.
• Create precise digital templates using templating software and upload scans, photographs, and other data to the Company server daily.
• Build rapport with customers, representing Classic Rock’s service-driven image.
• Clearly communicate job details to customers, Partner Support Specialists, and Programmers.
• Collaborate on evaluating installation plans and make adjustments to materials as requested by customers.
• Ensure job sites are left in the same or better condition than found.
• Adhere to all safety protocols at all times.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, promptly reporting concerns or issues.
• Maintain a detailed mileage log and report any vehicle concerns to the Field Technician Manager/Supervisor.

Work Environment

• Primarily on the road within Harrisburg, PA and surrounding areas.
• No daily reporting to the office required; start and end your day from home.
• Indoor and outdoor job sites with varied working conditions.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to two years of relevant experience preferred (construction, measurement, or countertop industry).
• Prior countertop templating experience strongly preferred.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, correspondence, and diagrams.
• Capable of writing clear correspondence and effectively communicating with customers and colleagues.
• Strong math skills, including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to interpret and follow written, oral, and schedule-based instructions.
• Fluent English required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Physical Demands

• Regular physical activities including stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, grasping, hearing, and talking.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• As this is a safety-sensitive position, adherence to all safety protocols is mandatory.
