Reports to: Operations Manager

 

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Fabricator is responsible for thoroughly inspecting and polishing countertop edges and decks to ensure the highest quality finish. This individual must be detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings accurately.
  • Polish edges and splashes using provided pneumatic hand tools.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols established by Classic Rock Fabrication.
  • Meet CRF quality standards consistently throughout the Fabrication Department.
  • Report any quality issues promptly to the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure on-time completion of projects within the Fabrication Department.
  • Properly care for and handle products throughout the fabrication process.
  • Participate in product repairs and custom fabrication as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
  • Obtain and maintain forklift operator certification.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Uphold Classic Rock’s Core Values in all work-related activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support the company’s vision and mission.

Qualifications

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Proficient use of a standard tape measure to the 1/16th.

 

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Capability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings with management or other employees.

 

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Capability to address problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Physical Demands:

  • This position requires regular physical activities, including reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and handling.
  • The maximum weight to be lifted is less than 100 pounds.

 

Work Environment:

  • Indoors in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
  • The typical noise level for this job ranges from loud to very loud.
  • Proper safety attire is required, including steel-toe boots, protective eyewear, and hearing protection.
